Samantha Mitchell graduated with Deans Honours from the University of Waterloo in 2025 with a BA in Fine Arts Studio Practice, Co-op. For her fourth-year thesis, Samantha developed a series of oil paintings on panels and exhibited at the University of Waterloo Art Gallery. She also received the Region鈥檚 UW Fine Arts Award where her paintings were selected by a jury to be displayed at a region library for a year.

Samantha has gained valuable experience through her co-op positions from Art Preparator and Installation Intern at McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Collections Assistant at the St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre and a Museum Assistant at the City of Waterloo Museum. Through these positions, she was introduced to art handling, preventative conservation and the love of art conservation.
