Communication is the way we convey our perspectives and connect with others. And yet, as adults, it is rare that we take the time to work on our communication skills. So, when we encounter situations that are more challenging, we don’t always have the tools we need to stay true to ourselves while also respecting others.
In this brief workshop, students will learn the key components of assertive communication that will allow them to advocate for themselves confidently and respectfully. Whether you are communicating in social or professional environments, assertiveness can be used to more successfully:

    • Give and receive feedback
    • Communicate in conflict
    • Build rapport and relationships
    • Lead or manage a team
    • Communicate with people in positions of authority
    • And much more!
