    Description:

Our new exhibit, Canadian Travel: Celebrating over 150 years of travel in Canada is now open. Please visit W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections on the 2nd floor (6th level) of Douglas Library to view the exhibit.

For over 150 years people have explored and traveled across the country seeing sites unknown and charting new trails. This exhibit looks at the different forms of travel available to tourists from the early to mid-20th century focusing on trains, boats, and cars. We also highlight different forms of travel narrative from postcards and scrapbooks to 19th-century published works. Our final theme, invites you to explore beyond the beaten path with an array of park guides and more broadly Canadian travel guides.

This exhibit runs from July 20th to September 1st.
