    Join us for a presentation by Dr. Guy Narbonne, "Celebrating geoheritage: Canada’s newest UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mistaken Point, NL".

    This presentation is open to the general public.

    This lecture is presented as part of the 2017 annual meeting of the Geological Associations of Canada (GAC) and Mineralogical Association of Canada (MAC). This year marks the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), Canada’s oldest scientific agency, which was established by the legislature of the Province of Ontario in Kingston in 1842, as well as the 70th anniversary of the GAC.  The Department of Geological Sciences & Geological Engineering at Queen’s and the GSC will be hosting this celebratory event.
