    A new version of the »ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµ Events Calendar will launch Wednesday, August 26. All events dated September 1, 2024 and later will be migrated. As part of this process, additions to the current calendar will be suspended at 3:00 p.m. on August 25.

    Description:

    The Museum of Health Care and the Hannah Chair at Queen’s University are proud to present an evening with Canadian historian and author Tim Cook, as he speaks to his newly released book, Lifesavers and Body Snatchers: Medical Care and the Struggle for Survival in the Great War, providing a powerful introduction to medical care and innovation during the First World War. 

    The talk will take place at Botterell Hall, Queen’s University starting at 5:00pm. A catered meet and greet and book signing will follow at the Museum of Health Care at Kingston. Dr. Cook’s new book will be available for purchase prior to the talk at Queen’s and after the talk at the Museum of Health Care.
