There is no shortage of jazz standards created to celebrate the highs and lows of romantic connections. For this concert, the DAN School Jazz Ensemble, with guest vocalists from the school’s contemporary stream, will recreate some of the iconic duets popularized by Ella and Louis, including classic standards like "Let’s Fall in Love," "I'm Beginning to See the Light," "I Won't Dance," and "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm." Adding to this are comic takes on the ups and downs of relationships from Stephen Sondheim, movie composer Randy Newman, Nat King Cole, and Michael Bublé, creating a musical Valentine's celebration to remember.
