    A new version of the ɫƵ Events Calendar will launch Wednesday, August 26. All events dated September 1, 2024 and later will be migrated. As part of this process, additions to the current calendar will be suspended at 3:00 p.m. on August 25.

    Description:

    Facilitated by Bonnie-Jane Maracle, Indigenous Learning Strategist, Academic Success Centre/First Nations House, University of Toronto.

    This workshop provides an opportunity for educators to gain insight into seeing “education” through an Indigenous lens by understanding what ‘Indigenous knowledge’ is and what entails ‘Indigenous ways of knowing’. Basic information and Indigenous elements will be provided to enable the drafting of ‘Indigenized’ curriculum, with an overview of colonial education barriers.
