Continuing the Celebration: IWD 2026 Virtual Event

    When:
    Friday, March 20, 2026
    12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
    Where:
    Online via Zoom
    Find on Campus Map
    Description:

To continue the conversations around International Women’s Day and accommodate those unable to attend on-campus events, QWN is hosting a virtual IWD session.

This session will share a framework called the “Reciprocity Ring” and provide an opportunity to put it into practice.

Psst – one lucky participant will receive a copy of Adam Grant’s book, Give and Take, as a door prize for the virtual event.

International Women's Day (IWD), celebrated annually on March 8, is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for advancing gender equality.

Every year, a new theme for International Women's Day is announced, to encourage conversations and this year's theme, Give to Gain, highlights the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organizations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women multiply. Giving is not subtraction—it's intentional multiplication.

This event is a part of Queen’s University’s participation in #SDGMonthCanada, a nation-wide commitment to mobilizing the SDGs across campuses.

This event is virtual (held on Zoom) and free to attend. A link will be provided the day of the session.
