Fragile Networks: The Transit of Pills, Providers and Patients after Dobbs
Since the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade, access to abortion has increasingly depended on movement. Patients travel across state lines for care, medical residents leave their home states for training and abortion medication is shipped from providers in states with legal protections to patients in states with abortion bans. This talk examines how these networks have reshaped abortion access and the legal and political efforts to restrict them.
