    Please join us for the presentation entitled 'Between Kingston and Gondar: Rethinking Health Equity, Disability, and Rehabilitation Through an Ethiopian Lens', presented by Molalign (Molo) B. Adugna, BA, MA, PhD. This event is free, and open to all.

    Dr. Molalign B. Adugna, who prefers to be called Molo, is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Co-Director of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. He has more than 17 years of experience in teaching, research, university administration, and community development. He has traveled and worked in more than 15 countries, gaining diverse international perspectives through academic, professional, and community engagement.

    Born and raised in a rural village in Ethiopia, Molo participated in farming activities and worked as a local tour guide before completing his university studies. He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Sociology from Addis Ababa University, MBA from the University of Gondar in Ethiopia, and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science from Queen’s University in Canada. His doctoral research, “The Quest for Inclusion and Overcoming Stigma”, explored pathways to inclusion and reducing stigma among children with disabilities and their caregivers, while engaging policymakers and practitioners to advance disability awareness and inclusive education in Ethiopia.
