The competition is open to any student enrolled in a post-secondary academic program. The competition is officially an international challenge with the winning team receiving a $20,000 CDN cash prize.  The top 7 teams will win a cash prize.  

We have 7 companies participating – Scotiabank, RBC, TD, BMO, Spirit of Math, Loblaws and Canadian Tire.  Each company has supplied a business problem and data.

On September 24, 2016, each of the companies will give an overview of their business challenge and explain the data set.  IBM will give an introduction to Watson Analytics.  This session will be streamed so students do not have to travel to Toronto, but it will be more fun if they do!

Teams will have to submit an 8-page written report, slide deck and a 15-minute video of their presentation by Friday October 21, 2016 at midnight EST.  Submission details and technology will be provided later.
