    Description:

After the resounding success of the 2015 contest, the Art of Research photo contest is back!

The act of research is a beauteous endeavour whether group or solitary or whether you are working in the lab, field, studio, or archives. The Art of Research photo contest is an opportunity for Queen’s faculty, students and staff to showcase their research, scholarly and artistic work.

The subject of the photographs and images is limited only by your imagination. The competition is aimed at providing a creative method of sharing and celebrating the ground-breaking research being done by members of the Queen’s community.

All entries must be received at research@queensu.ca by the contest closing date: November 18, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. and must be accompanied by an entry form.

    Who is eligible?

Any current Queen’s faculty member, staff or student.

    Prizes and Judging:

All entries will be adjudicated by a committee struck by the Office of the Vice-Principal (Research). Prizes will be as follows: 1st Prize – $500, 2nd Prize – $300, 3rd Prize – $200, Honourable Mention – $100. All winning and shortlisted images may also be featured in an upcoming issue of (e)AFFECT, the Queen’s research magazine.
