    Description:

    Participants at this session will learn:

    • How to determine if research would be considered “human participant research” and how to navigate the human participant ethics review process; 
    • How to determine if research would be considered “hospital-based research” and how to obtain project approval at one of the Queen’s affiliated hospitals (KHSC/PCC); 
    • ɫƵ the resources available to support researchers navigating these processes (e.g., facilitators, in-hospital resources/centres, SOPs, and templates).
    • analyzing a sample invention and determining its patentability relative to similar products.
