    Description:

    Art History and Art Conservation Macdonald Stewart Lecture

    Dr. Caroline Bruzelius (Anne Murnick Cogan Professor Emerita of Art and Art History, Duke University) will present a lecture on her pioneering digital humanities project, Visualizing VeniceVisualizing Venice was created in 2010 as a collaborative and international experiment in training graduate students with digital visualization technologies for mapping and modeling change and process in buildings and cities.  The three universities (Duke, Padua, and the IUAV University of Venice) have created annual workshops, exhibitions, and multiple outreach initiatives that explain the history of the city and its buildings to the general public.
