    Description:

Facilitated by Yunyi Chen, Centre for Teaching and Learning

As culture and education are intrinsically intertwined, educators need to become aware of their own cultural orientations and positionality in teaching and learning to effectively respond to the needs and expectations of diverse students.

This workshop aims to help participants explore how their cultural orientations and positionality may shape their teaching beliefs and approaches, engender their interactions with students, and place impact on students’ learning experiences.

By the end of the workshop, participants will develop a better understanding of their own cultural orientations and positionality in teaching and learning in order to reinforce educational equity in their practices.
