    Description:

    High-Performance Computing (using Frontenac) and Bioinformatics

    This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the CAC鈥檚 high-performance compute (HPC) platform, Frontenac, and the other resources available throughout the national compute ecosystem of the Digital Research Alliance of Canada as well as utilizing bioinformatics tools and techniques in an HPC environment.

    By the end of this workshop, you will know how to connect to a cluster, submit and manage jobs on a cluster using a scheduler, transfer files, and use software through environment modules. You will have the necessary skills to effectively navigate big data including bioinformatic analysis.

    **Important Note: Registration closes on March 15, 2024.

    Workshop Prerequisites: Basic Unix/Linux competence and basic knowledge of bioinformatic methods are required.
