Queen's Community Garden: Savouring Past Achievements (Thrive 365)
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Let’s take a mindful pause to reflect, connect, and celebrate the beautiful moments we’ve grown together! Join us for an outdoor session where you’ll receive a photo from last season and a hand-picked dried flower, a small memento of a meaningful season in the ɫƵ Community Garden. In small groups, we’ll savour the memories, share our stories, and appreciate the impact of our collective journey. Don’t miss this cozy, heartwarming hour of reflection and connection!
Overview: Participants will be divided into three groups and guided through a savouring activity. Each participant will receive a photo from last season along with a beautiful, dried flower from the previous season. Together, we'll reflect on meaningful moments and celebrate the impact of our shared gardening journey.
Light Refreshments will be provided.

Gardens 4 Joy
It is an initiative at ɫƵ that aims to help in fostering the wellbeing of students, faculty, and staff through gardens and gardening. Based on her previous research and decades of experience creating and savouring gardens, Dr. Maha Al Makhamreh founded this initiative and successfully implemented it in the spring of 2024.
Maha acknowledges: “Thanks to a big team of believers in positive change, passionate gardeners, and participants in every form, the initiative went above and beyond last season—and continues to thrive.”
