    Unbounded Stories Series: Stories for Learning and Healing

    Description:

    This workshop is designed out of a passion for the power of artistic expression and a desire to create space for meaningful story writing, sharing, and dialogue. Participants are given the opportunity to actively engage in reflecting on their personal stories. The workshop highlights the human face of the Palestinian story while also connecting the broader human experience, fostering empathy, and building relationships through meaningful dialogue.

    Speaker Bio:

    Izzeddin Hawamda, PhD عزالدين†was born and raised in the West Bank, Palestine. He currently serves as the Anti-Racist Education Professional Learning Initiative Coordinator with Louis Riel, River East Transcona, and Winnipeg School Divisions. Izzeddin completed his PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Manitoba. He has been actively speaking about the power of dialogue and the importance of sharing, listening, and respecting diverse perspectives and narratives. Izzeddin has been telling stories of Palestine publicly using storytelling as an approach to bring communities together.
