Sintayehu recently completed his PhD in Rehabilitation Science at Queen’s University under the supervision of Dr. Jordan Miller. His doctoral research focused on developing and testing the feasibility of an interprofessional rehabilitation program for people with chronic low back pain in the Ethiopian health system context. His doctoral studies were supported by the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program. Prior to his PhD, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, Institute of Public Health, at the University of Gondar, where he gained experience in research, teaching, and student mentorship. He has authored/co-authored more than 30 research publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
