Biography
Giovanni Zambito is an MPL candidate in the School of Urban and Regional Planning with Queen’s University. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Theory of Architecture with High Distinction with a minor in Heritage and Conservation from Carleton University. During his time at Carleton, Giovanni was also Vice President Internal of the History and Theory of Architecture Society (HTAS). His research focuses on the role of heritage conservation in promoting healthy community development. He is particularly interested in understanding how the adaptive reuse of cultural heritage in urban areas contribute to mitigating embodied carbon emissions and encourage economic reinvestment and social sustainability.
