This May, Margaret Maliszewska, Exchange Coordinator, International Programs Office, Office of the Vice-Provost, Global Engagement participated in Erasmus+ staff mobility and staff training days at the University of Helsinki (Finland).

Margaret contributed to the panel discussion “Best Practices Of Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility: Partner Universities’ Viewpoint”. The session highlighted the importance of fostering truly reciprocal partnerships, especially within the framework of KA171, where program country institutions typically lead project administration. Representing Queen’s University, she reflected on how meaningful engagement, transparent communication, and shared decision-making enhance the impact of international credit mobility. Alongside colleagues from South Africa and Ukraine, they explored both the strengths and challenges of the current model and discussed practical strategies to ensure more balanced cooperation.

The shared experiences underscored the need for continued dialogue and mutual capacity building to strengthen global academic partnerships.
