Sabrina is a doctoral student in the Department of Political Studies at »ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµ, specialising in the fields of International Political Economy and Political Theory. Her research explores how shifting configurations of political and corporate power influence the multiscalar governance of economic growth and environmental sustainability, focusing on the regulatory transformations shaping the European Union.

Outer space; global governance; popular culture
Winston Cheng is a PhD student in the Department of Political Studies, specializing in political theory and international relations, and supervised by Dr. Margaret Moore. His research interests center around the politics of outer space, ranging from astroethics to space law. He is also broadly interested in global environmental governance as well as the intersection of popular culture and politics.
On June 4, Dr. Stéphanie Martel appeared as an expert witness before the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development (FAAE) to share her insights and recommendations on the revision of Canada's Indo-Pacific Strategy.
She stressed the importance of continuity in Canada's engagement of key partners on peace and security issues through a people-centered and sustainable approach, including by renewing Ottawa's support to ASEAN's efforts to localize the Women, Peace and Security Agenda.
Last May, Political Studies Professor David Haglund presented at the Atlantik-Brücke conference, held in Berlin from 17 to 19 May 2026.
Dr. Amarnath Amarasingam, Assistant Professor in the School of Religion and cross-appointed to the Department of Political Studies, shares an adaptation of excerpts from his co-authored book For Blood and Soil: Far Right Extremism in Canada in The Walrus.
