This collective commitment shapes a campus environment where health and wellbeing are supported through a settings-based and whole system approach.
The University recognizes the importance of cultivating a campus culture where health and wellbeing are foundational to learning, personal growth and development. Queen鈥檚 is committed to programs, services, policies and practices that reflect the diverse health and wellness needs of the student population.
In alignment with the Okanagan Charter鈥檚 calls to embed health into all aspects of campus culture and to lead health promotion action and collaboration, Queen鈥檚 prioritizes:
- Fostering a culture of care, inclusion, and respect across the university community.
- Strengthening social connections and belonging to support student wellbeing.
- Promoting personal health and wellness across multiple dimensions, including physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, academic, and environmental wellbeing.
- Creating inclusive and accessible campus spaces that enhance student wellbeing and engagement.
