AI Literacy at Queen's

At Queen’s, AI literacy is more than just about knowing how to use tools, it is about developing thoughtful, critical, and responsible judgment for a rapidly changing landscape. Our goal is to support our community in understanding what generative AI can and cannot do, while building the confidence to use it effectively when appropriate and to step back when it is not. This includes recognizing bias, limitations, sustainability concerns, and risks such as over-reliance, while strengthening core human capabilities like critical thinking, creativity, and professional judgment. In this way, AI literacy at Queen’s is grounded in the idea that technology should enhance, not replace, the human expertise and care that defines our community. This approach is part of a broader vision of an AI-literate and AI-equipped campus, where our people are supported by trusted tools, clear guidance, and a strong culture of shared learning.

The university is always working on more AI Literacy Initiatives like the upcoming “Operational Excellence: Problem Solving with AI Certificate.” Check back frequently for updates and new resources for your learning.
