    Melodie Campbell (nee Offer) and Michael O鈥機onnell

    Forty-seven years after constantly being put next to each other in class alphabetically, Michael O'Connell and Melodie Offer have made it permanent with a diamond.鈥疉fter finding her on Facebook, Michael stormed back into her life in the fall of 2020, 18 months after Melodie had been widowed.鈥疶his being COVID-19 times, they talked for a month, and then Michael went into isolation for two weeks in order to show up on her doorstep.鈥疘n April 2022, he whisked her off to Niagara Falls for a secret drive-thru elopement.鈥疌ommerce classmates will be pleased to hear the whole wedding cost him less than $400, and that included a stop at Tim Horton's, where he said she could 鈥渉ave anything she wanted.鈥濃 Michael has recently sold his company Canadian Printco, and Melodie is an award-winning crime writer.鈥 Friends can contact them through her .

    Rob has chronicled his life in speeches, which have been presented at Toastmasters International, at church, and in eulogies at family funerals. He is thrilled to announce that, in 2022, he published the last 25 years of those speeches in a book, .

    Lara Victoria

    Lara Victoria has been appointed as a member of the Delta Police Board by the province of British Columbia. As a provincial appointee and resident of the community, she joins the board in duties related to the governance of the Delta Police department. Lara wishes to bring greater awareness to matters related to equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging and indigeneity within the department as well as the community it serves. She believes that the leadership skills learned at Smith School of Business during her MBA program, along with the Certificate of Social Impact, has well-prepared her to execute the responsibilities of this role.

    I began working at Toronto Research Chemicals as an analytical chemist where I, alongside others including fellow Queen鈥檚 graduates, help ensure the quality of compounds produced, including many vital to ongoing COVID-19 research.

    I joined Statistics Canada as a senior analyst. In addition, as a co-founder of ENAAF Inc., I opened a branded footwear and clothing store in Scarborough, Toronto. I continue the footwear and clothing wholesale and import business as a co-founder.

    After graduating from the BMus program at Queen鈥檚, I now currently work as a centre rep for the Royal Conservatory of Music in Pickering, Ont., and manage a music school called The Song Spot in Whitby, Ont. We have almost 300 students and continue to grow each year. I am currently enrolled in the Music Business Management course at Durham College and cannot wait to expand my career from there! I continue to play music regularly in the GTA with various classical and contemporary groups. I hope my fellow alumni have continued their passion for music!
