Kid's Time- Easter Egg Hunt

Kid’s Time will be running bi-monthly in the evening at 6:30pm in the An Clachan Community Room. Children can participate in fun activities including crafts, games, movie nights etc. It’s also a great way for parents and children to meet and make friends with their neighbors. 😊 We look forward to seeing you there! 

This Kid's Time will be a special event, Easter Egg Hunt! We hope to host this an outdoor event, weather permitting, otherwise it will be moved indoors. 

We ask that parents please accompany any children under the age of 6

English Conversation Group

English Conversation Group Runs on Wednesdays from 9:30am-11am in the An Clachan Community Room. This is a great opportunity to practice your listening skills, conversation skills, learn about Canadian and other cultures, increase your confidence, also great for IELTS/CELPIP.

Cooking Class- Brazilian

Please join us for a Brazilian themed cooking class led by our very own Community Assistants, Leo and Wilson! They will step us through making a traditional cheese bread and chocolate dessert.

Nowruz Celebration

The Nowruz festival symbolizes renewal, rebirth and the strength of community. The celebrations include traditional food, music, dance and rituals such as bonfires and the Haft-Seen table. Over time, Nowruz has grown from a regional custom into an international event. It brings people together to enjoy cultural performances, community spirit and the joy of new beginnings. 

Please join us in a celebratory potluck, bring a dish of your choice!

Iftar Potluck

Iftar is the evening meal Muslims eat to break their fast during Ramadan, traditionally beginning at sunset with dates and water. One of our An Clachan residents will lead the prayer with us before partaking in the evening potluck meal. Please bring a dish to share.

ISKA Tax Clinic

Join the QUIC in partnership with ISKA for a free tax clinic! No appointment required, just drop in anytime from 9:00am - 3:00pm  in person in the An Clachan Community Room on March 12, 2026.

NOTE: *This free service is for simple tax returns (not self-employed) and is for family income below $35,000.

Drivers for Uber or Skip the Dishes are self-employed. You will need to find a professional tax service to help with your file.

Please have the following documents ready: 

  • Name and current mailing address
  • Social Insurance Numbers (SIN)
  • Birthdates of all family members
  • PR card or record of landing if you arrived in 2025 (something showing your date of arrival in Canada)
  • If you arrived in Canada in 2025, your world income from January 1st, 2025
  • T4 (record of employment income)
  • T5007 (for government assisted refugees or those on social assistance - OW)
  • RC210 (for people who received the Canada Workers Benefit)
  • T2202 (Record of university or college fees found on your student account).
  • T4A (if you received employment insurance)
  • Rent receipts for all of 2025
  • Banking information for direct deposit (transit number)
  • Medical expense receipts (if more than 3% of your income)
  • The CD from last year if ISKA did not do your taxes

Career Services Workshop- Interviews

»ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµ Career Services will be hosting a workshop on interviewing which will provide you with a variety of strategies allowing you to attend your next interview feeling confident and prepared, whether it is remote (i.e by phone or Zoom) or in person. Learn strategies to answer the classic "Tell Me »ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµ Yourself" question, behavioural questions, and situational questions. You will also learn to prepare questions to ask the interviewer. Come prepared to practice and leave feeling ready for your next interview!
