Student Positions
The Department of French Studies is seeking a Work Study student to assist in the administration and development of non-credit French conversation courses.
Job Duties
This role supports course setup, communication with participants, and resource development for instructors.
Fall & Winter Terms (Sept鈥揂pr)
Hours: ~3 hrs/week
Wage: $17.60/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Track enrolment for Beginner, Beginner Plus, and Intermediate levels
- Prepare and send participant communications using templates
- Monitor and triage emails to support course operations
- Assist instructors with attendance tracking and other tasks
- Maintain curriculum outlines and develop lesson resources
- Issue Certificates of Completion to eligible participants
Qualifications
- Third-year undergraduate or higher
- Strong organizational and professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently on structured tasks
- French proficiency at B2 level preferred
- Interest in education and experience with office software an asset
