The Cost of Forgetting: Understanding and Responding to the Coming Memory Crisis in Canada

We're on the brink of a new crisis that will impact the health of Canadians and our economy. The crisis is two-fold: first the aging Canadian population is set to experience growing cognitive impairment and extensive care needs; second, more working-age Canadians are expected to withdraw from the workforce to manage the growing care needs of loved ones. 

Join us and our moderator, journalist Lucy Van Oldenbarneveld, Artsci'89, to unpack this coming crisis that will put pressure on our health care system, families, and the economy. Queen’s alumni and faculty who are experts in the field will show you where we are now, what we’re facing, and how we can mitigate the impacts.
