HTML for Beginners
HTML is the standard markup language for web pages. A solid understanding of HTML is the basis for accessibility and search engine optimization (SEO). It also ensures that web content looks great across different browsers and platforms.
The "Digital Skills: HTML for Beginners" workshop is for staff and faculty with little or no experience with HTML and who are using a content management system (such as ;WebPublish) to build and manage a website.
Participants are guided through the basics of HTML鈥攃ommonly used HTML tags and attributes, and the best practices for their usage. Participants will learn to write simple code.
Writing for the Web
Readers interact with web content differently than with other medium/platforms for communication. This workshop explores strategies and best practices for connecting with audiences online.Topics include:
