Academic Advising

We are here to support your academic journey in Arts and Science. Browse our various online tools below and, if you still have questions, connect with one of our academic advisors to have your questions answered.

Where to Start

There is a wealth of information on the Arts and Science website, and we encourage you to see if your questions can be answered through the resources provided here. You can search for keywords using the magnifying-glass search function, or visit these pages for help:

Advising Services During the Registration Period

From July 21 to September 15, during the Registration and Add/Drop periods, regular advising services will be temporarily closed. You will not be able to pre-book an appointment with an academic advisor during this time, but you can still connect with us for faster help and support.

If You Still Have Questions

I need help with Registration! (July 21 to August 1)

During this 2-week period we divert all of our staffing resources to assist students with course registration. We will offer advising by phone on a first-come-first-served basis to help any students who are experiencing difficulties to register in their required classes on time.

Upper-year students: call us at 613-533-2470
First-year students: call us at 613-533-6708
All students: join our lunch-hour Zoom advising drop in. These sessions are designed for very short conversations (5-10 minutes). Advising will be available from noon-1 pm Eastern Time, or until the queue is full.

I have other questions about academic planning!

Students with non-urgent issues and questions not related to registration are encouraged to contact us after the registration period is over. Regular services resume again on September 16.
